Job description
Position Overview: The RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides specialized nursing care to high-acuity surgical patients, including post-operative and trauma cases.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
Educate patients and families on managing illnesses, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
Participate in ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
Use critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.
Maintain clear communication across the continuum of care and support a healing environment.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Licensure: Valid RN license.
Experience: New graduates and experienced RNs welcome; less than 2 years of experience preferred.
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
