Responsibilities
The Surgical Tech handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
He/she understands the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon.
He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly vigilant for maintenance of the sterile field.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Meet at least one of the following:
Graduate from an accredited program or equivalent.
Certified Surgical Tech (CST).
1+ years’ of prior operating room experience.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
