Overview
The Surgical Technologist 2 prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures. Follows hospital regulations and industry procedures to tend to patients during pre-operation procedures.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain medical equipment for surgical procedures.
Perform pre-operation preparations to the patient's skin, body, and related medical equipment.
Assist with patient transport to and from the operating room as needed.
Work under general supervision and apply education, some experience, and judgment to accomplish tasks.
Demonstrate creativity and some latitude in completing responsibilities.
Qualifications
Relevant education or training and some professional experience in a surgical setting.
Ability to follow hospital regulations and industry procedures.
Strong attention to safety and sterile technique.
Ability to perform duties with supervision and apply professional judgment.
