As a Surgical Technologist at Viewmont Surgery Center, you'll be an integral part of the surgical team, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to ensure seamless surgeries. If you're excited about the opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives, keep reading!
Responsibilities
Prepare the operating room for surgery, setting up equipment, instruments, and supplies with precision and speed.
Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses during procedures, maintaining a calm and focused demeanor even in high-pressure situations.
Sterilize instruments and equipment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
Manage patient records and charts accurately documenting vital information and updates.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient patient care, from pre‑op to post‑op.
Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgeons' assistants, hold retractors, cut sutures, and perform other tasks as directed by surgeon during operation.
Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and colleagues alike.
Stay current with the latest techniques, technologies, and best practices in surgical technology.
Qualifications
Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Operating Room Technician (CORT), preferred.
1-2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
