Schedule & Compensation
Part Time. Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 am – 7:30 pm (24 hrs per week) with rotating holiday call.
Pay Range:
$26.75 – $34.00, based on experience.

Job Objectives
Assist the Surgeon & First Assistant during surgery by maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring instruments/supplies are available.
Apply knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instruments and procedures.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with surgical team members.
During weekend shifts, perform quality assurance work, prep and stock areas when surgeries are not occurring.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare for each assigned case to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
Act as an active member of the surgical team.
Effectively clear the operating room following the case to maintain overall efficiency.
Maintain an optimal perioperative environment to meet patient needs.
Provide quality care based on current nursing research and quality improvement monitoring results.
Requirements
National Surgical Technology certification or credentialed/grandfathered by NYS per 1/21/15 DOH regulation (2824) **OR** NYS LPN license.
BLS Certification required.
Previous experience as a surgical scrub tech strongly preferred; at this time cannot hire an LPN without surgical OR experience.
Oriented on days Monday‑Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm during the first several months.
On‑call requirements as needed based on unit needs.
Pay Range:
$26.75 – $34.00; starting pay based on experience.
