Schedule
Part Time, Saturday and Sunday 7am - 7:30pm pm (24 hours per week) with rotating holiday call. Take advantage of the shift differential for weekends!
Pay Range
Pay Range: $26.75 - $34.00, based on experience.

Job Objectives
To directly assist, within the sterile operative field, the Surgeon& First Assistant during surgery by assuring that a sterile environment is maintained& all necessary surgical instruments/supplies are readily available to the surgeons.
Skill and knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instruments and surgical procedures are required.
The ability to develop & maintain collaborative working relationships with members of the surgical team is needed.
On the weekend shift there will also be quality assurance work, prepping and stocking if surgeries are not taking place.
Key Responsibilities
Assures a safe and efficient environment is provided for the surgical patient by preparing for each assigned case
Is an active member of the surgical team
Assures overall efficiency of department by effectively clearing Operating Room following the case
Assures an optimal perioperative environment to meet the needs of the patient
Provides appropriate and quality care based on the results of current nursing research and quality improvement monitoring results.
Requirements
National Surgical Technology certification or credentialed/grandfathered by NYS per 1/21/15 DOH regulation (2824) OR NYS LPN license required.
BLS Certification required.
Previous experience as a surgical scrub tech strongly preferred (at this time cannot hire an LPN without surgical OR exp).
Regardless of what shift hired for, will need to orient on days M-F 7am-3:30pm for the first several months.
On-call requirements required based on unit needs.
Pay Range: $26.75 - $34.00
