Job description
Role
Surgical Technologist responsible for assisting in surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining sterile techniques.
Key Duties
Prepare operating rooms, assist surgeons during procedures, connect patients to clinical equipment, verify surgical site, maintain accurate supplies and specimen documentation, apply sterile dressings, and participate in patient admission and discharge processes. Act as a preceptor for students, perform quality control, and handle additional tasks like specimen collection and patient transport.
Qualifications & Skills
Completion of a Specialty Training Program; graduates after a certain date must become Certified within 6 months; ability to practice aseptic techniques; strong attention to detail; and adherence to policies and safety protocols.
