Title-Travel Surgical Technologist – GI/Endoscopy (GI Experience Required)
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Travel Surgical Technologist with GI/Endoscopy experience to support a busy outpatient surgery center in Wauwatosa, WI. The ideal candidate will be skilled in assisting with endoscopic procedures, maintaining a sterile field, and preparing surgical instruments and case carts.
Responsibilities
Prepare and organize instruments, supplies, and equipment for GI/endoscopy procedures.
Assist physicians and nursing staff during endoscopic cases.
Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
Perform room setup and turnover between cases.
Prepare and manage case carts.
Ensure proper handling and care of surgical instruments and equipment.
Follow infection prevention and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
Current BLS certification.
Recent GI/Endoscopy experience is required.
Experience assisting with procedures such as colonoscopies and EGDs.
Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in an outpatient surgery center or endoscopy unit.
Previous travel assignment experience is a plus but not required.
