Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
Shift: Full-time, (4) 10 hour shifts/week, 6:30 am - 5:00 pm, for 80 hours. There is an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities
Prepare operating rooms for procedures by ensuring instruments, equipment, and supplies are available, functional, and aligned with surgeon preferences.
Assistwith patient preparation, positioning, draping, and transfer activities to support safe, efficient surgical care.
Maintain strict steriletechniqueand infection prevention standards throughout surgical procedures.
Anticipate surgeon needs by passing instruments, managing retractors, applying suction, and providing procedural support.
Perform surgical counts andassistwith specimen handling, labeling, and transport to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
Support circulating nurse responsibilities and collaborate closely with the perioperative team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Clean, restock, and prepare operating rooms between procedures tomaintainworkflow efficiency.
Promote compliance with safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards, including HIPAA, OSHA, AORN, AAMI, and DNV requirements.
Mentor students and new team members, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and support a culture of continuous learning and teamwork.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma orGEDrequired.
Graduate from an accredited education program for Surgical Technology,OR graduate fromanappropriate trainingprogram in the US Armed ForcesOR Medical CertificationOR LPNrequired.
Experience:
Previoussurgical technologist or equivalent experience preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s):
Mustpossessand maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationrequiredwithin90 daysof hire through the American Heart Association.
IL & IA Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter training in state(s)whereproviding carerequiredwithin60 daysof hire.
IL & IA Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s)whereproviding carerequiredwithin60 daysof hire.
