ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Deliver and adjust daily lesson plans to meet curriculum goals.
Track attendance; report two consecutive absences and submit weekly reports.
Maintain student success rates at 80% or higher; intervene with at-risk students.
Record and submit final grades per policy.
Assess student performance and adapt instruction to individual needs.
Coordinate guest speakers, field trips, and clinic visits.
Conduct lectures and hands‑on demonstrations.
Advise students on program curriculum and academic progress.
Alert leadership if a student's grade drops below 77%.
Enforce safety and classroom protocols.
May assist with externship coordination.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree (or equivalent military training) in surgical technology.
A minimum of four (4) years* of job-related training and experience for
those instructors who are not graduates from an accredited program in
the field in which they teach (must have an associate degree).
3 years of OR scrub-role experience within the last 5 years OR 3 years of ST teaching experience.
Active CST credential (NCCA-accredited).
Current NBSTSA certification or state-required credential.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Hiring Range - $28.19 to $35.23
