What You'll Do:
Responsibilities of the Surgical Technology Instructor include, but are not limited to:
Delivering engaging, hands-on instruction in both classroom and lab settings.
Supporting student growth through mentoring, regular feedback, and individualized success planning.
Ensuring your curriculum stays current and aligned with real industry expectations.
Partnering with fellow instructors, administrators, and industry leaders to maintain a high-quality learning experience.
Leading by example in professionalism, safety, and workplace readiness.
Actively participating in program development, accreditation efforts, employer advisory committees, and campus-wide events.

What We're Looking For:
We're seeking professionals who are passionate about teaching and committed to excellence. Successful candidates will have:
Education: A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
Experience: A minimum of three years of recent experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist. Experience may include at least 2 years in the operating room scrub role, as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both in the past 5 years.
Industry Credentials & Certifications: Must hold a current, surgical technology-specific credential that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA) in addition to any other credentials a person may currently retain and/or are required by the sponsoring institution, institutional accreditor(s), and/or state approval agency, if applicable.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and Google Suite tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.). Experience with Canvas and curriculum development is a plus.
Organizational Abilities: Strong skills in communication, time management, and organization to efficiently manage classroom and practical training responsibilities.
Attention to Detail: A keen ability to assess student performance, ensure industry standards are met, and maintain accurate records.
