Job Title: Surgical Technology Instructor
Location: Anaheim, CA 92801
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $32.00 - $39.90 hourly
Position Summary
The Surgical Technology Instructor is responsible for delivering a quality educational experience for students by ensuring curriculum is current, using effective delivery methods, and maintaining fairness and equity among all students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Teach and implement curriculum objectives under the direction of the Director of Surgical Technology.
Prepare, administer, grade, and record formative and summative examinations.
Discuss students’ concerns related to learning and academic progress.
Plan and assign student activities in classroom and clinical settings to achieve program objectives.
Maintain records of student progress, attendance, and grades.
Serve as a professional role model for students.
Select and prepare instructional materials.
Develop written lesson plans and deliver them through lecture, demonstration, and discussion.
Provide a copy of all lesson plans to the Director of Surgical Technology.
Identify individual and collective learning needs, and support student development.
Participate in regular meetings with the Program Director or designee.
Assist students in developing values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health‑care profession.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective interpersonal skills including questioning, listening, and showing concern.
Solid written communication skills for memos, letters, and email.
Excellent verbal communication and public‑speaking ability.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
High integrity and commitment to policies, regulations, and codes of conduct.
Computer literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Continuous self‑improvement and professionalism.
Lab Instruction
Oversee and facilitate laboratory sessions, provide hands‑on instruction, ensure safety protocols are followed, and foster a supportive learning environment.
Education and Experience
Credential in Surgical Technology from a national credentialing organization accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
Minimum of three (3) years of operating‑room experience or teaching experience in the field within five years prior to hire date.
CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) or AS in ST credential required.
