Responsibilities
Consistently achieve operating unit goals for production, profitability, and service.
Drive effective sales, distribution, marketing, and agency engagement strategies that optimize opportunities across Acadia’s territory and business segments, including Middle Market, Small Business, and Inland Marine.
Optimize field underwriting operations to consistently achieve expense ratio, loss ratio goals and production goals.
Employ effective talent management practices to recruit, retain, and develop underwriting and marketing professionals.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, Marketing, or a related field required. Advanced degree (MBA or related graduate degree) and/or professional insurance designations such as CPCU, ARM, or CLU preferred.
Twenty years of commercial lines insurance experience, including significant underwriting and marketing experience with P&L responsibility.
Established agency relationships in New England and Upstate New York.
A successful track record of building teams and working in a highly collaborative culture.
Strong aptitude for analyzing and translating data.
Superior strategic and execution skills, along with strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
Successful experience in strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, and commercial lines market research and planning.
Ability to consistently demonstrate WRBC Leadership Core Competencies and Innovation Behaviors.
Approximately 25% travel required within New England and New York.
Valid driver’s license required.
Position will be based out of our Westbrook, ME office.

The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees including:
Base Salary Range: $200k-275K
Eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus

The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
