Swiss Lathe CNC Programmer/OperatorWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Swiss Lathe Programmer / Operator to join a growing precision machining team in Maryland Heights, MO. This company specializes in the production of high-volume, tight-tolerance components for industrial applications and are looking for an individual with strong Swiss machining experience who takes pride in producing quality parts efficiently and accurately. This potential to hire position is ideal for a machinist who enjoys programming, setup, process improvement, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality and precision are critical.Swiss Lathe CNC Programmer/Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Program, set up, operate, and troubleshoot Swiss-style CNC lathesDevelop and optimize machining processes to maximize efficiency, tool life, and part qualityRead and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and process documentationSelect tooling, workholding, and machining strategies appropriate for each applicationPerform machine setups, prove-out new jobs, and make process adjustments as requiredEdit CNC programs and offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy and production efficiencyConduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipmentMonitor tool wear and implement improvements to reduce cycle times and scrapWork closely with engineering, quality, and production personnel to resolve manufacturing issuesSupport continuous improvement initiativesTrain and assist machine operators as neededMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaCrosstrain on other CNC equipment as neededSwiss Lathe CNC Programmer/Operator Requirements:Minimum 3 years of Swiss CNC programming and setup experience preferredExperience with Citizen, Star, Tsugami, Tornos, or similar Swiss-style CNC equipment preferredProficiency in editing and troubleshooting CNC programsCAM programming experience is a plusStrong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and process optimizationAbility to read blueprints and GD&TExperience using precision measuring instrumentsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent attention to detail and commitment to qualityBenefits:Competitive pay based on experience.First-shift opportunity.Stable manufacturing environment.Modern precision machining equipment.Advancement opportunities.Continuous training and professional development.About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
