$90,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr

Our client is seeking a System Administrator to support and maintain their high-performance trading and analytics platform. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of their infrastructure while working closely with engineering, operations, and support teams.
Key Responsibilities
System Maintenance & Support: Manage and monitor Linux-based servers, ensuring uptime and performance
Automation & Scripting: Leverage tools like Bash, Python, and Ansible to automate system processes.
Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards
Cloud & On-Premise Management: Support cloud-based and co-located infrastructure
Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve system issues to minimize downtime
Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps, engineering, and trading teams to optimize system performance
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field
3+ years of experience in system administration, preferably in a trading or financial services environment
Strong knowledge of Linux and automation tools
Experience with cloud platforms and virtualization technologies
Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, or PowerShell
Networking and security fundamentals, including firewalls and VPNs
Familiarity with monitoring tools
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
This is an onsite position working at the client’s Chicago office.
