Systems Administrator
Location: Highland Hills, OH
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week
Hours: Flexible within the client’s schedule — as early as 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Duration: 6-month contract +
Potential: Contract opportunity supporting a growing IT environment
Position Summary
We are seeking a Systems Administrator to provide day-to-day technical support for approximately 2,700 users across a client environment supporting financial institutions and cryptocurrency companies. This role will focus heavily on PC configuration, connectivity, VPN support, troubleshooting, and end-user technical assistance.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a hands-on support environment, troubleshooting issues over the phone, and assisting users with hardware, connectivity, and system-related problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to approximately 2,700 end users
- Configure, prepare, and support PCs and other end-user equipment
- Troubleshoot connectivity, VPN, hardware, and software issues
- Provide remote and phone-based troubleshooting and technical assistance
- Diagnose and resolve issues efficiently while maintaining a strong customer-service mindset
- Support day-to-day systems administration and IT operations
- Assist with the company's client asset management and administrative functions
- Maintain accurate asset and equipment information
- Work closely with the Senior and Junior Systems Administrators on escalated technical issues
- Support a secure IT environment serving clients in the banking and cryptocurrency industries
- Perform additional IT support and systems administration duties as needed
Environment
The company provides transaction-monitoring services for clients, primarily within the banking and cryptocurrency industries. Because of the nature of the client base, strong attention to security, connectivity, troubleshooting, and reliable IT support is important.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Systems Administrator, IT Support, Desktop Support, or similar role
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting PCs
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting VPN and network connectivity issues
- Comfortable providing technical support over the phone
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small IT team
- Experience with asset management is a plus
- Financial services, banking, cryptocurrency, or transaction-monitoring experience is a plus
Work Schedule
This is a 100% onsite position in Highland Hills, Ohio, Monday through Friday, approximately 40 hours per week.
The schedule may begin as early as 6:00 AM, with an example schedule of 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, or may follow a more traditional 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule depending on business needs.
