Engineering Manager - Systems UAV & Drone Technology
Location: Washington | Salary: $180K - $210K DOE

Base pay range
$180,000.00/yr - $210,000.00/yr

Role summary
They are seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team of engineers responsible for designing, building, testing, and delivering next-generation drone systems. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will guide the technical direction, ensure program success, and mentor engineers across multiple disciplines.
Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and grow a systems engineering team
Oversee projects from concept through delivery, ensuring technical excellence and program alignment
Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and program management teams
Support proposal development, technical reviews, and new business opportunities
Drive process improvements, operational efficiency, and innovation
Manage team performance, career development, workload, and resource planning
Ensure compliance with security standards, regulations, and company policies
Qualifications
8+ years managing technical personnel
4+ years project management and systems engineering experience
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience with complex technical programs is a plus
