This leader will set the strategic and clinical direction for an integrated primary care service line spanning the health system's geography and continuum of care. Working in close partnership with operational, nursing, finance, hospital and physician leaders, the Executive Medical Director will advance a consistent, high-performing model of care that improves access, strengthens outcomes and positions primary care as the connective foundation of the system.

As a member of the RRH Senior Leadership Team, the Executive Medical Director will have meaningful influence over system strategy, clinical standards, care model design, physician and APP alignment, workforce planning, technology adoption and financial performance. The role combines enterprise leadership with an active clinical practice of at least 20%.

Set the strategic direction for physician and APP recruitment, retention, development and alignment; cultivate the capabilities needed for the future of primary care.

Advance physician, payer and consumer engagement strategies in a competitive and rapidly changing health care environment.

Champion appropriate use of technology, data, clinical decision support and the electronic health record to improve care and reduce friction for clinicians.

Build productive partnerships across specialties, hospitals, nursing, operations, finance, quality, risk, education and community stakeholders.

Ability to represent the full breadth of primary care and lead across a broad geography, diverse practice settings and multiple stakeholder groups.

High emotional intelligence, sound judgment and exceptional communication, collaboration, negotiation and conflict-management skills.
