System TechnicianNextGen Security, LLCLocation: Houston, TXIndustries: Security and SurveillanceJob Type: Full Time EmployeeYears of Experience: 2+ years of installation experience in security industryCareer Level: Experienced (Non-Manager)Exemption: Non-ExemptAn experienced electronic security installation technician to join our fast growing and dynamic team.What you'll be doing:Physically installing field cabling and field equipmentSome system programmingProject activation and commissioning*Some travel may be required.What you bring to the table:Minimum of 2 years of experience with installing and maintaining: Electronic access control systems.IP-Based video management systemsNetworking and IT knowledge.Superior problem solving and communication skills.Work independently with minimal supervision.Familiarization with local electronic security codes and industry standards.Understanding and ability to work safely in a chemical plant environment.Experience with Microsoft products such as Outlook, Work, Excel Etc.Preferred:Access Control System Vendor Certifications in Software House, Genetec, ProWatch and/or Lenel or similar.Video Management System Vendor Certifications in Genetec, OnSSI, MaxPro, and/or Milestone or similar.Intrusion Detection System Vendor Certifications in Senstar/ Optellios, and/or FFT.Experience in computer operating systems, network design and implementation.TWIC Cardholder.What we bring to the table:An awesome, collaborative cultureSalary based upon background and experience.Company VehicleFull benefits packagePaid vacationCellphone AllowanceWe are an equal opportunity employer and drug - free workplace.
