Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking Systems Engineers to join the Air Dominance Systems Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT) in St. Louis, MO .

The Systems Engineer applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. This will include managing the effort to develop software throughout all phases of the software development life-cycle (requirements, architecture, implementation, and verification). The systems engineer will apply systems engineering principles to a Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) software environment. The ability to work in a collaborative team environment on-site and across engineering disciplines will be imperative to this role. The selected individual will work in a fast paced, innovative environment where excellent technical, organizational, leadership, written and verbal communications skills are essential.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced and Lead (Levels 3 or 4) Systems Engineers.

Position Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional engineering teams in developing systems to meet project/program commitments, including support of deliveries and customer reviews

Leverage Systems Engineering experience to implement, maintain, and refine the systems engineering approach for software development.

Perform activities such as software data item reviews, JIRA administration, sprint planning, and overall integration of the software development effort.

Support planning and execution of software configuration and data management processes

Support the program in implementing MBSE as part of digital engineering to meet customer expectations

Apply interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches to plan, design, develop and verify complex systems solutions

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

4+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

3+ years of systems engineering experience involving system architecture development, including system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis, and verification.

Strong written and verbal communication skills along with the ability and desire to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Level 4 : 7+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, such as CAMEO or similar Systems Modeling Language (SysML)-compatible tool for systems architecture and model development.

Experience across technical domains and life cycle phases

Experience or familiarity with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) software build pipeline techniques and software factories such as DevOps & DevSecOps

Experience or familiarity with industry tools or development techniques such as: Jira, Gitlab, Ansible, and Artifactory

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range:

(Experienced, Level 3): $112,200 - $151,800

(Lead, Level 4): $136,850 - $185,150
