This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS) , a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

Job Description
HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to provide trusted technical expertise to the PET office as it tackles complex IT governance, policy, and enterprise‑level integration challenges. In this role, you’ll help shape how major programs across PE work together — ensuring systems, data, and processes align to support mission success.
You’ll support technical integration and governance activities across multiple PE contracts, including UDS, TCS, EMS, and other enterprise IT efforts. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving cross‑program challenges, improving technical coordination, and driving consistent standards across a large IT ecosystem.
Integration & Technical Coordination
Serve as the primary technical coordination point for PET across PE
Support project and system integration throughout the acquisition lifecycle
Coordinate technical activities across UDS, TCS, EMS, and other PET contracts
Identify integration gaps, dependencies, and risks across programs
Support integration and migration planning for enterprise IT capabilities
Conduct dependency mapping and analysis
Collaborate with system integrators, software vendors, and technical contractors
Contribute to PE Architecture IPTs and integration working groups
Assist with API and interface standards development
Support enterprise resiliency assessments and initiatives
Ensure contractor deliverables align with PET’s strategic objectives
Facilitate technical coordination meetings across contract teams
Support monitoring and reporting for contract performance
Assist with technical vendor oversight
Governance & Strategy Support
Help establish and implement IT governance frameworks
Support development of decision‑authority structures
Assist with PE Governance EXCOM Board activities
Coordinate PE participation in enterprise and external governance forums
Contribute to governance automation pilots (e.g., ServiceNow)
Support IT standards development and compliance reviews
Assist with oversight of strategic PE roadmaps
Help define capacity management frameworks
Support RFC and ITB management processes
Minimum Qualifications
9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
5+ years of experience in systems engineering, technical integration, or IT governance
Demonstrated experience coordinating activities across multiple programs or contracts
Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and integration methodologies
Experience with dependency mapping and technical coordination
Knowledge of IT governance frameworks and processes
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries
TS/SCI w/Poly clearance at time of hire.
Preferred Requirements
Experience with DoD/IC acquisition processes and contract management
Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ITIL)
Experience with Agile methodologies and SAFe
Familiarity with requirements management tools (DOORS, Jira, ServicePlus)
Experience with ServiceNow or similar governance automation platforms
Understanding of API design and integration patterns
Background in capacity planning and performance management
Experience supporting government IT programs
