Job description
Raytheon is seeking a Systems Security Engineer II - P2 to support its Systems Security Engineering (SSE) team within the Systems Engineering Test & Capabilities Directorate. This onsite position in McKinney, TX focuses on building end-to-end security solutions that help safeguard embedded warfighter technology across cyber security, software assurance, and supply chain risk management.

Compensation
Salary: USD 68,900 - 131,100 per yearly
Experience and Education
Minimum experience: 2 years
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
Responsibilities
Support implementation of SSE solutions into RTX products
Contribute to defining SSE requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation details, system impacts, and effectiveness
Plan and guide SSE implementations in customer systems
Perform attack threat modeling and Critical Program Information Assessments
Develop top-level system requirements and flow down requirements and implementation concepts to subsystem levels
Understand and comply with DoD technology release and export licensing policies
Security Clearance Requirements
U.S. citizenship requirement: U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Clearance status: Active and existing security clearance required on day 1
Clearance type: DoD Clearance: Secret
Prior clearance requirement: Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date
Required Qualifications
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 2 years of prior relevant experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Experience in System Security Engineering, computer technology reverse engineering, cybersecurity, or embedded security
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge in generating systems requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans, and/or policies
Knowledge in Software, Firmware, & Microelectronics Engineering, Cryptography and FPGA design
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Computer Science, or Engineering Science
Broad understanding of technology and working knowledge of DODI-S-
Demonstrated ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness
Experience contributing in a team environment to develop creative solutions to technical problems
