TackerJob Title: MIG Welder/ Tacker Employment Type: Full Time Location: Goldsboro, NC Pay: $16-18 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pmJob Summary: The MIG Welder is responsible for performing high-quality metal welding using the Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG) process. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components according to specifications while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.Key Responsibilities:Perform MIG welding on steel, aluminum, or other metals as requiredRead and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructionsSet up and operate welding equipment, including adjusting voltage, wire feed, and gas flowInspect welds to ensure quality, strength, and compliance with specificationsGrind, clean, and prepare materials before and after weldingWork with production teams to meet workflow and schedule requirementsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPERequired Qualifications:minimum 6 months of on the job experiencePreferred Qualifications:Proven experience as a MIG Welder or similar welding roleAbility to read blueprints and welding symbols (preferred)Knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety practicesStrong attention to detail and qualityAbility to stand for long periods and handle repetitive tasksCapable of lifting and positioning materials as requiredCore Competencies MIG (GMAW) Welding, Blueprint & Technical Drawing Interpretation, Metal Fabrication, Structural Steel Welding, Welding Equipment Setup & Operation, Wire Feed Welder Operation, Tack Welding & Final Assembly
