TailmanTailman Hughes Brothers Construction is now hiring! We are a heavy civil contractor specializing in large site infrastructure, underground utilities and roadway construction throughout Central Florida. The Tailman supports the pipe crew in the installation of underground utilities and infrastructure projects. This position works closely with the Operator and Pipe Layer to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient installation of storm, sewer, and water systems on heavy civil construction job sites.Responsibilities:Assist with installation of storm drain, sanitary sewer, and water main systemsSet and secure pipe to line and grade under direction of Pipe Layer and ForemanGuide heavy equipment operators using hand signals and radio communicationInstall gaskets, couplings, and fittingsCheck grade using laser levels and grade rodsBackfill and compact around installed pipeEnsure proper bedding and compaction of trench materialsMaintain a safe and clean work areaFollow all company safety policies and OSHA regulationsAssist with loading/unloading materials and toolsPerform general labor duties as assignedDesired Qualifications :Must be at least 18 years of ageAbility to use hand tools and small equipmentAbility to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift to 40 poundsBasic understanding of construction principles and proceduresAbility to work independently or as an active member of a teamOut-of-town travel and/or overtime is a possibilityHigh school diploma or GED preferredEnglish and Spanish fluency a plus, but not requiredBenefits:Paid HolidaysGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO) packageMedical, Dental, Vision, and Supplemental Insurances with employer contributions401K with employer matchLong-Term IncentivesSubmit your application by clicking on the "apply" button for the position desired.
