Targeting Analysts use unique datasets and tools to counter threats, drive intelligence collection, and provide insights on emerging national security threats. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in one or more of these fields: International Studies
International relations
Political science
National security studies
International trade
International Business
International Economics
Marketing
Transnational crime
Data analysis
International Finance
Weapons proliferation
At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet the minimum requirements for joining CIA, including U.S. citizenship and a background investigation
Desired Qualifications
Interest in international affairs
Awareness of US national security interests
Foreign language capability
Strong verbal presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise textResearch experience in international affairs
Ability to work in a team environment
Interest in a career that requires regular writing assignments
Requisition Details
As a Targeting Analyst at CIA, you will work on teams that bring analysis and operators together to counter threats to the U.S., drive intelligence collection, and evaluate the risks and benefits of proposed operations. You might focus on specific regions of the world and on transnational topics including terrorism, weapons proliferation, narcotics trafficking, counterintelligence, and cyber threats.
You will have opportunities for foreign and domestic travel and language study. You will receive tradecraft and leadership training while increasing your substantive expertise through academic study, collaboration with Intelligence Community peers, and professional conferences. You may also participate in broadening assignments within the Agency and across the U.S. Government.
