As our Tax Advisory Group continues to grow, we're looking for a Tax Advisory Manager or Senior Manager to join our Melbourne team and help clients navigate increasingly complex tax and business challenges.

Description of the role

We're seeking an experienced Tax Advisory Manager / Senior Manager – Private Clients & Family Groups to join our Melbourne Tax Advisory team.

In this role, you'll work closely with business owners, family groups and high-net-worth individuals on complex tax advisory matters including restructures, succession planning, intergenerational wealth transfer, asset protection and strategic business planning. You'll help clients understand evolving tax legislation, assess the impact on their structures and implement practical solutions aligned to their commercial and family objectives.

What makes you ‘just right’

CA, CTA, Master of Tax or equivalent qualification preferred.

5+ years' experience in tax advisory for private clients within a Big 4, mid-tier or specialist tax consulting firm.

Strong technical expertise across private groups taxation, trusts, Division 7A and small business CGT concessions.

Experience advising business owners, family groups and high-net-worth individuals.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills.

Proven project management capability and client engagement experience.

What your day might look like

Advising privately owned businesses and family groups on restructures, succession planning, trust taxation and governance strategies while helping clients respond to evolving legislation and ATO guidance.

Leading advisory projects from planning through to implementation, managing ATO reviews, mentoring junior team members and collaborating with Partners and colleagues to deliver practical outcomes.

Building trusted relationships with clients and enjoying the culture that comes from working with a collaborative, high-performing team.

What makes us ‘just right’

Diverse and interesting private client portfolio.

Significant client contact and advisory responsibility.

Genuine partnership pathway for the right candidate.

Flexible working arrangements that support work-life balance.

Supportive and collaborative team culture.

Ongoing professional development and technical learning opportunities.

Direct access to Partners and senior leadership.
