A New York City public accounting practice is looking for a Tax Director to take a leading role across tax delivery, people management and client growth.
You’ll oversee a team of 12, act as a senior reviewer and adviser, and improve the processes that support consistent, high-quality work. The role also offers the chance to develop client relationships and contribute directly to the growth of the practice.
The opportunity
Direct and develop a 12-person tax team
Review complex individual and business tax work
Advise clients on tax matters and maintain senior relationships
Improve review standards, workflow and team processes
Support and mentor managers and other tax professionals
Develop existing accounts and help originate new business
Influence the future direction of the tax practice
What they’re looking for
Significant generalist tax experience in public accounting
Strong technical review and client advisory skills
A track record of managing and developing people
The ability to improve processes across a tax team
Commercial awareness and experience developing client relationships
Confidence working closely with firm leadership
$300K–$350K base, depending on experience.
