Job description
An Asset Management firm is seeking a Director of Tax to build and lead the firm’s tax function in this newly created, highly visible leadership role.
Reporting directly to the CFO , this is an exciting opportunity for a senior tax professional to serve as the firm’s strategic tax advisor while partnering across Investments, Product, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Client Service.

This is much more than a traditional tax leadership position. You’ll have the opportunity to:
Build and lead a tax function from the ground up
Develop tax strategy, governance, processes, and controls
Advise senior leadership on corporate, partnership, fund, executive, and international tax
Partner on new products, fund structures, and investment strategies
Lead fund and partnership tax planning and structuring
Oversee tax compliance, tax accounting, and regulatory reporting
Provide guidance on cross-border tax and transfer pricing
Advise on executive tax planning and tax-efficient business structures
Build and develop a high-performing tax organization
Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities
What We’re Looking For
12+ years of progressive tax experience
Experience in investment management, fund taxation, partnership taxation, and corporate tax strategy
CPA required
Big Four or national public accounting experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of fund structures, partnership taxation, executive tax planning, transfer pricing, and international tax
Experience with fund formation, tax structuring, and cross-border matters
Proven ability to build teams and scalable processes
Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leadership
Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills
