Our firm is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly motivated Wealth Management Tax Manager to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in managing the tax planning, preparation, and review process for our high net worth clients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in wealth management, tax planning, and compliance for individuals, corporations, and partnerships. This role offers an exciting opportunity for growth and development within the company, with a focus on providing high-quality service to our clients.
Responsibilities
Manage the tax planning and preparation process for high net worth individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
Provide expert advice and guidance on complex tax issues, such as 1031 exchanges, real estate tax, and S Corp tax matters.
Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes for clients.
Review and analyze financial statements, tax returns, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and state tax laws.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations and apply this knowledge to client situations.
Collaborate with other team members to provide comprehensive financial planning services to clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and responding to client inquiries in a timely manner.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in wealth management tax planning and preparation, with a focus on high net worth individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is required.
Experience with 1031 exchanges, real estate tax, and S Corp tax matters is required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex tax issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax information to clients.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in tax preparation software and other financial software programs.
Commitment to providing high-quality service to clients and maintaining the highest standards of professional ethics.
