Job description
Synergy Search is partnering with a well-established, growing organization to find an experienced partnership tax professional.
Prepare and review complex partnership returns (Form 1065) and related schedules, including K-1s, K-2s and K-3s
Model and review partnership allocations under IRC §704(b), including capital account maintenance, substantial economic effect and target allocations
5+ years of partnership tax experience in public accounting, a law firm or industry
~ Strong working knowledge of §§163, 704(b) and 754, and the ability to explain them clearly to non-tax stakeholders
~ Experience with real estate, private equity, investment funds or operating partnerships is a plus
~ Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with tax software (e.g., Base Salary to 150K + Bonus
