Job Title: Corporate Tax Manager
Location: Newport Beach, CA
Hybrid
Salary: $138,000 – $172,500 annually
Job Summary
We are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to lead corporate tax compliance, ASC 740 tax provision engagements, and client consulting for large multi-state and multinational companies. This role will manage client engagements, review corporate tax returns, mentor staff, and build strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Manage corporate tax engagements from planning through completion.
Review corporate income tax returns (Form 1120) and ASC 740 tax provisions.
Research federal, state, and international tax issues.
Respond to IRS and state tax notices.
Build and maintain client relationships.
Mentor and supervise tax professionals.
Identify opportunities to expand client services.
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Active California CPA or JD with an active law license.
4+ years of corporate tax compliance and consulting experience.
Minimum 1 year of Manager-level experience.
Strong experience with ASC 740 (preparation, review, and audit support).
Experience reviewing corporate tax returns (Form 1120).
Recent public accounting experience with a Top 15 or large regional accounting firm.
Experience supporting large multi-state, national, or multinational corporate clients.
Willingness to work onsite at least 3 days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with OneSource Tax Provision.
Knowledge of SALT, international taxation, and transfer pricing.
Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.
