What's the role?
State & Local Tax Managers are a key part of the business tax team responsible for managing client relationships while ensuring multi-state tax compliance and consulting projects are produced and delivered within expected timelines. This includes:
Preparing and reviewing multi-state tax returns and filings.
Advising clients on state and local tax issues
Researching state and local tax regulations and their impact on client operations.
Building new and strengthening existing client relationships while demonstrating knowledge of clients' businesses and operations across multiple jurisdictions.
Communicating and meeting with clients as requested; providing recommendations to assist clients with state and local tax needs.
What experience and skills do I need to be successful?
5+ years in a similar role within a public accounting firm.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting highly desired or equivalent work experience.
Experience with multi-state taxation and SALT consulting
CPA certification highly desired or ability to attain.

What will my schedule look like?
At MBE, you'll enjoy the challenge of meeting deadlines during tax season with up to 50-60 hours weeks and the remainder of the year work 30-40 hour weeks flexing the typical Monday-Friday 8a-5p schedule around any personal passions or family time. We also welcome part time and seasonal team members!
