Job description
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Tax Preparer to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $40.00 to $70.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and file individual tax returns efficiently and accurately
Conduct in-house tax appointments and provide guidance to clients during sessions
Communicate effectively with the IRS regarding client matters and inquiries
Use Lacerte Tax Software to complete and manage daily tax return processing
Complete a high volume of returns, averaging 15 or more per week during tax season
Requirements: Understand tax preparation processes and compliance standards
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with clients and tax authorities
Apply attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive financial information
Work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Maintain professionalism and client confidentiality at all times
Qualifications: Hold a CPA license or be a high-performing EA
3+ years of experience preparing tax returns
Complete full tax seasons with consistent performance and reliability
Use Lacerte Tax Software or similar platforms proficiently
Conduct effective and professional communication with the IRS
