Job description
Temporary Tax Associate
Your client is seeking a Temporary Tax Associate to support their accounting and finance team during the busy season. This role will focus on preparing and reviewing tax returns, assisting with filings, and supporting various compliance-related projects. The ideal candidate has prior tax experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review individual, corporate, and/or partnership tax returns (Federal and State).
Assist in gathering and organizing tax-related financial data and supporting documentation.
Perform reconciliations of tax accounts and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Support quarterly and annual tax filings, extensions, and estimated payments.
Assist with responding to IRS and state tax notices, as needed.
Work closely with internal finance teams or external auditors to provide requested tax information.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy in all tax-related documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
1–5 years of relevant tax experience (public accounting or corporate tax department).
Familiarity with tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSeries, Drake, or similar).
Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
Base Pay Range:
$25.00/hr - $40.00/hr
