nSchedule / Expected Work Hours:
nSeasonal, full-time during tax season (January–April)
nEvening and weekend availability required
nTypical hours: Monday–Saturday, 9 AM–9 PM
nJob Summary
nAs a Tax Preparer at Liberty Tax, you are responsible for accurately preparing tax returns for individuals and small businesses while providing exceptional customer service. This role supports clients in understanding their financial situation, ensuring compliance, and delivering the trusted service Liberty Tax is known for.
nResponsibilities
nPrepare accurate federal and state income tax returns for individuals and small businesses.
nConduct client interviews to gather tax and financial information.
nEnsure compliance with tax laws and company policies.
nDeliver excellent customer service and explain return results clearly.
nMaintain organized, secure, and accurate client records.
nStay current on changing tax regulations through ongoing training.
nCollaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow during peak season.
nSupport marketing and client retention efforts.
nQualifications
nKnowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
nExperience using tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.
nExcellent communication and customer service abilities.
nMust have PTIN (or be eligible to obtain one).
nPrior experience in tax preparation preferred.
