Quality Control InspectorJob Location: Arhaus Upholstery – Conover, NCWeekly Hours: Monday – Friday 6a – 3:30pOvertime as neededDepartment: Quality ControlReports To: Quality Control SupervisorPosition DetailsJob Purpose: Inspect sofas and chairs in different stages of production to ensure a quality product was produced.Duties and Responsibilities: Perform a visual inspection of the finished product to ensure:Stitches are straightEnsure pattern is correct according to production ticketEnsure piece is Upholstered correctly to specificationsEnsure there are no holes or flaws in the Fabric / LeatherEnsure legs and finishes of legs are correctMake repairs as needed Push piece back to upholster to correct issuesOther duties as assigned by the ManagerWorking Conditions: Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.Supervision Received: MinimumSupervision Exercised: NoneDirect Reports: NoneQualificationsMinimum Experience Requirements: Manufacturing Experience.Preferred Experience Requirements: Experience in furniture manufacturingMinimum Education Requirements: Less than High SchoolPreferred Education Requirements: High School Diploma or EquivalentRequired SkillsPhysical & Environmental Requirements:Must be able to read a ruler.Must be able to read an order ticketMust be able to tell the difference in finishes of the legs.Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, including ability to describe and convey nonconformance issues is required.Strict attention to detail is a must.Must be a Team Player with a positive attitude.Must be able to work with minimum supervision.Must have your own reliable transportation.Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day.Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime.Must be reliable.Must have strong English language skills, including: o Reading o Comprehending o Speaking o Writing o CommunicationMust be able to wear required safety PPE such as Safety Glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes.Must be able to adhere to all Safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.Arhaus is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind, Arhaus is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
