nWhat You Will Do:
n
nnThe Occupational Therapist evaluates, treats, records, and reports the patient’sprogress information and communicates with the physician and hospital staff. TheOccupational Therapist must be able to organize and facilitate treatment techniques andthe application of all occupational therapy modalities.
n
nnEvaluates and plans appropriate treatment plans according to patient needs
n
nnRecognizes change in patient’s progress and health and changes the plan of careaccordingly
n
nnRecommends changes in patients’ work or living environments consistent with theirneeds and capabilities
n
nnInstructs patients and families in home programs, basic living skills and care and useof adaptive equipment
n
nnKnowledgeable of available test materials and therapeutic techniques
n
nnA thorough case history, functional status, problems and goals are measurable andtime framed, treatment plan and rehab potential are documented
n
nnMaintains appropriate documentation which meets the standards and requirements ofthe department, The Joint Commission, Center of Medicare Services, and AmericanOccupational Therapy Association.
n
nnPresents clear, concise, organized information exchanges and interactionsNon-essential
nWhat You Will Need:
n
nnMaster’s degree from a program accredited by the ACOTE.
n
nnLicensure in the state of Ohio or license eligible. Registration nationally through the professional association (NBCOT).
n
nnPrevious clinical experience/rehabilitation experience preferred.
n
nnCurrent CPR Certification.
n
nnFOM (Functional Outcome Measures) certification preferred.
n
nnMust possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and be insurable under Firelands' auto policy. Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request.
n
nnDemonstrated ability to keep abreast of new research and practices in the field so as to provide the patients the best possible care and treatment.
n
nnSuccessful completion of a 90 day probationary period.
n
