Stage And Scene Shop AssistantAssist the Technical Manager with work within the Stage and Scene Shop.Responsibilities:Assist in setting up props and electrical equipment including microphones, lighting and special effects equipment for internal and external eventsOperate switchboard for theater lights and soundAid in construction of scenic elements for Department of Theatre & Dance productions.Required Qualifications:Must be a student enrolled at the University of Michigan-Flint.Desired Qualifications:An interest in theatre and/or live event production.Any level of experience with backstage work, A/V equipment, lighting, and construction is preferred but not required. You will be trained on the job.Modes of Work:OnsiteThe work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of MichiganPositions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment.
