Lead a new engineering team focused on content management capabilities that serve multiple business teams across Oura.

Define the technical direction for a CMS platform that supports publishing to multiple web properties and channels.

Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand content workflows, publishing needs, governance requirements, and long-term platform opportunities.

Drive architecture and implementation decisions across front-end and back-end systems, with an emphasis on scalability, maintainability, reliability, and ease of use.

Establish strong engineering practices for system design, delivery, observability, quality, and operational excellence.

Coach engineers through technical design, execution, and continued iteration while setting a high bar for collaboration and accountability.

Contribute directly to technical problem solving, design reviews, and key implementation decisions as needed.

Help the team balance short-term delivery for prioritized surfaces with longer-term platform investment.

Build strong working relationships with teams across Commerce and adjacent business and technical organizations.

This is a remote role based in the US.

What you'll bring:

8+ years of engineering experience

Experience leading engineering teams, including technical direction, delivery planning, and people management.

Experience working with content management systems, including platform selection, implementation, integration, customization, or evolution in a multi-team environment.

Strong technical proficiency across the stack, with the ability to work effectively in both front-end and back-end codebases.

Experience designing and operating systems on a modern cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Strong software engineering fundamentals, including system design, APIs, integrations, data flows, security considerations, and operational reliability.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and align multiple stakeholders around platform direction, tradeoffs, and execution plans.

Comfort operating in an ambiguous environment where the team, platform boundaries, and roadmap are still being shaped.

Nice to have:

Experience building or supporting multi-site, multi-channel, or headless CMS architectures.

Experience partnering with marketing, content, digital, or web teams on publishing workflows and content operations.
