Role
Senior GCP Engineer / Technical Lead responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and optimizing cloud-based data solutions on Google Cloud Platform. This is a hands-on developer role with an expectation to work onsite in Pleasanton.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Work hands-on with BigQuery for data warehousing and analytics.
Develop and manage relational workloads using AlloyDB.
Build and maintain data transformation pipelines using DBT.
Orchestrate workflows using Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow).
Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform.
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data and cloud workloads.
Write efficient SQL queries for data modeling, transformation, and reporting.
Follow modern development practices, including vibe coding and clean code standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
Requirements
6+ years of overall IT experience with strong hands-on development expertise.
Strong foundation and hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Advanced SQL skills and experience working with BigQuery.
Experience with AlloyDB and DBT.
Experience with workflow orchestration using Composer / Airflow.
Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform.
Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills; excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Must be a hands-on developer (not a coordination-only role).
Location & Work Model
The role requires working onsite from Pleasanton (onsite position).
