Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Program Manager to support a growing client in the advanced manufacturing industry in Valley Green, PA. The Technical Program Manager role requires onsite collaboration and significant travel during the initial ramp-up period. The Technical Program Manager role is ideal for an experienced program leader with a strong background in manufacturing, hardware development, and mechanical engineering environments.
Responsibilities of the Technical Program Manager include:
Direct complex hardware and manufacturing programs from development through production while adapting to shifting priorities and business needs.
Partner with engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and customer teams to drive project execution and maintain momentum.
Lead program reviews, risk assessments, and strategic discussions to ensure informed decision-making and accountability.
Balance customer expectations with internal capabilities by resolving conflicts and aligning stakeholders on priorities.
Coordinate activities across domestic and international manufacturing sites to support successful product delivery.
Requirements of the Technical Program Manager include:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
4+ years of Program Management experience supporting manufacturing, hardware, mechanical, or product development initiatives.
Demonstrated success operating in fast-changing, high-pressure environments with competing priorities and constant change.
Strong stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel 50-60% to Valley Green, PA and Santa Clara, CA during the initial phase of employment, with 10-20% international travel to manufacturing facilities in Mexico and China.
Compensation for the Technical Program Manager include:
120,000 - 150,000 annually
