Job description

Technical Program Manager - Hardware Development Programs

We are helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Technical Program Manager - Hardware Development Programs to lead next-generation robotaxi hardware programs from concept through EVT/DVT/PVT and production ramp.

In this role, you'll partner with hardware, software, firmware, systems, functional safety, procurement, vehicle development, and external contract manufacturers to drive program execution. You'll develop schedules and milestones, coordinate dependencies, manage risks, and provide clear visibility into program progress across engineering teams and leadership.

The ideal candidate is an experienced hardware technical program manager with a strong engineering background and demonstrated success leading complex hardware programs through the full product development lifecycle. You are proactive, highly organized, and comfortable driving cross-functional teams and contract manufacturers in a fast-paced development environment.

As a Technical Program Manager - Hardware Development Programs, you'll:

Own end-to-end program execution for next-generation robotaxi hardware, from concept and architecture through EVT/DVT/PVT builds and production ramp.

Translate company strategy and milestones into detailed product roadmaps, schedules, deliverables, and cross-functional dependencies.

Coordinate across hardware, software, firmware, functional safety, systems, procurement, and vehicle development teams to align priorities and deliverables.

Partner with external contract manufacturers to plan and execute prototype and engineering builds, incorporate DFM/DFT feedback, and prepare programs for production ramp.

Identify program risks and issues early, drive mitigation and resolution, and communicate program status, progress, and key decisions to cross-functional teams and leadership.

Facilitate program reviews and decision-making to remove bottlenecks and maintain alignment across engineering, finance, strategy, and manufacturing stakeholders.
