Job description
We’re hiring: Technical Project Manager & Client Services Lead
Vartest Laboratories is an independent third-party testing laboratory in New York City serving clients across textiles, apparel, personal protective equipment and other technical product categories.
We’re looking for an intelligent, organized and personable professional who can manage complex projects, build strong client relationships and help develop new business.
Key responsibilities:
Manage testing projects from initial inquiry through reporting and invoicing
Translate client needs into clear project scopes, quotations and timelines
Maintain responsive, professional communication with clients
Coordinate requirements and deliverables across laboratory teams
Manage client and opportunity information in our CRM
Identify opportunities for new services and future business
Develop expertise in relevant testing methods and industry standards
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong project-management and relationship-building skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Sound judgment, initiative and consistent follow-through
The ability to understand complex technical information
Confidence working with clients and technical personnel
Genuine curiosity and an interest in developing subject-matter expertise
Experience in testing, laboratories, textiles, PPE, manufacturing, engineering, compliance or another standards-driven industry is valuable. However, specialized textile or PPE expertise is not required. We are looking for someone with the ability and motivation to learn this market deeply.

Employment: Full time
Compensation: $100,000-$125,000
