This innovation comes to life in our state-of-the-art facilities, where talented teams collaborate to solve complex challenges and deliver cutting-edge solutions.Position SummaryThe Technical Sales Representative – General Industrial is responsible for representing the company in its effort in obtaining new business, maintaining current business, and providing technical support.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProspect, sell and service industrial paint coatings.Recognize sales opportunities when providing service work and conversely recognize opportunities for technical support when prospecting customers.Provide technical education and solutions in the field to customers regarding all aspects of company products.Provide account maintenance for current customers including contract negotiations.Forecast sales and price adjustments.Work with the development team to ensure technical skills are current with regards to existing products and future products in consideration.Report all initiatives to supervisor and provide status updates on a regular basis.Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.Qualification RequirementsEducation level preferred: bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. Degree is preferred to be in a Science related field such as Chemistry or Business.Experience level preferred: At least three years of technical sales experience in a chemical coatings' environment.Skills and AbilitiesExcellent computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook), Concur, ERP system, and other office machinery.Leadership capabilities with the ability to lead by example.Exemplify core values, i.e., Integrity, Loyalty, Passion, Commitment, and Respect.Works well in a team environment.Excellent team building and communications skills.Superb written and verbal communication skills.Ability to travel over 50% of the time.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsPhysical DemandsRegularly required to communicate verbally and audibly in a manufacturing or operational setting.Frequently required to stand, walk, and move throughout the work area.Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, manipulate, and control objects, tools, or equipment.Required to sit, balance, stoop, and occasionally reach above shoulder level.Occasional operation of machinery using foot controlsMay be required to climb, balance, and reach overhead as part of job duties.Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 65 lbs.Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Safety shoes, safety glasses, and flame-retardant uniforms or lab coats are required in production areas.Respirators and ear plugs are required for specific production processes.BenefitsCompetitive benefits package.Generous PTO policy401(k) Employer Match: We match employee contributions up to 8% of eligible compensation.Profit Sharing: Discretionary annual contribution based on company performance.Employee referral bonus programMonthly employee food trucks…and much more!At Hentzen, you'll find more than a job—you'll discover an opportunity to learn, grow, and make an impact.
