Sales Representative – U.S. OperationsLocation: Charlotte, NCThe U.S. sales office represents a German family-owned company, founded in 1916, specializing in high-precision, customer-specific power transmission solutions. Components are manufactured in Germany and supplied globally to industries such as medical technology, robotics, aerospace, marine, packaging, and industrial machinery.As part of a strategic U.S. market expansion, the company is seeking an entrepreneurial Sales Representative to establish and grow its U.S. sales presence.Position OverviewThe Sales Representative will lead and develop the U.S. Sales Office, drive business development, and serve as the primary interface between U.S. customers and the German headquarters. This role combines strategic market development with hands-on technical sales execution.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish and manage daily operations of the U.S. Sales Office (supported by an Operations & Office Coordinator)Develop and implement a U.S. sales strategy aligned with company objectivesIdentify, develop, and secure new business opportunitiesProvide technical consultation and solution-oriented support to customersAct as the primary liaison between U.S. customers and German engineering/production teamsBuild and maintain long-term relationships with key accountsRepresent the company at trade shows and industry eventsManage sales pipeline, forecasting, and CRM reportingRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field3–5 years of experience in technical sales (machinery, mechanical components, industrial equipment preferred)Strong technical aptitude and ability to communicate complex solutions clearlyDemonstrated experience in business development and account growthEntrepreneurial, hands-on mindsetExcellent communication and negotiation skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP/CRM experience preferredPreferred QualificationsExperience working with international or German manufacturersKnowledge of power transmission systemsExperience in aerospace, robotics, medical, or packaging industriesWhat the Company OffersCompetitive base salary plus performance-based incentive structureHealth insurance benefitsPaid time off (PTO)High level of autonomy and influence in shaping U.S. operationsLong-term growth opportunity within a stable, family-owned companyInternational collaboration with engineering teams in GermanyEqual Opportunity EmployerThe company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
