Job description
Technical Support SpecialistProvides technical advice to the sales force and customers in order to resolve product or service requests regarding technical or application related issues.Responsibilities:Answers phone calls and emails from sales representatives, dealers, and end users.Travels domestically (4-6 times per year) and internationally to provide equipment training.Tests new equipment in house and in the field.Researches information with engineering and vendors.Handles customer problems that appear to arise from the use of the product.Provides repair training to customers.Identifies service information (parts, etc.).Provides equipment related training to sales representatives (1 to 4 times annually).Requirements:Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experienceAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Strong phone communication skills. Travels domestically (4-6 times per year) and internationally (1-2 times per year) to provide equipment training.Position requires current drivers licenseKnowledge of application and function of all Diamond Products equipment.
