Technical Services AssistantPosition Title - Technical Services AssistantDivision/College - General LibraryDepartment - General LibraryLocation - MoscowPosition Overview - This position performs tasks related to incoming and outgoing mail and other Library shipments. Performs tasks related to processing and copy cataloging of serials, periodicals, gifts, and board games. Coordinates annual bindery shipments and performs data entry and cleanup in the Library's integrated Library system and research information management system. Performs other duties as assigned.Position QualificationsRequired Experience - Working with minimal supervision and in a team environment to accomplish shared goalsUsing computer software and applications for word processing, spreadsheets, email and internet researchEntering and retrieving data using computerized record systemsEditing and writing business correspondence using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materialsRequired Education - High School Diploma or equivalentRequired Other - NoneAdditional Preferred - Academic Library experienceExperience and/or education working with Library bibliographic recordsExperience with integrated Library systemsExperience with Library computer softwareExperience withMARCformat, AACR2 and/orRDAcataloging formatsCommitment to continuous learning and flexibility to changes in the work environmentPhysical Requirements & Working Conditions - Ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move materials weighing up to 30 poundsDegree Requirement - N/A: No degree requirementFLSA Status - Non-ExemptEmployee Category - ClassifiedPay Range - $17.00 per hour or more depending on experienceType of Appointment - Fiscal YearFTE - 1Full Time/Part Time - Full TimeA visa sponsorship is available for the position listed in this vacancy. - NoOpen Until Filled - YesApplications received by 09/13/2026 will be given first consideration.All applicants are asked to submit their resume, aletter of qualification, and three professional references within the application.
