Job description
Job TitleIdentify defects and repair before products go through topcoat processing.ResponsibilitiesInspect parts before going through topcoat to detect defects.Determine which defects need repairs and to what degree in order to meet standards.Determine appropriate process required to improve the quality of the part and hide defects.Fix or conceal defects as appropriate.Approve quality defects throughout plant before parts reach finish.Daily housekeeping to clean and remove waste from area.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThere are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.QualificationsIf working in the Finish Department or Final Inspection and you make decisions on color then you must score a 50 or better on a Nucraft administered Color Test.If working in the Finish Lab you must score a 16 or better on a Nucraft administered color test.Teamwork OrientationTime managementPerformance ManagementResults DrivenEducation/ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED2 years experience with patch/touch up preferred; must pass color test.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Hearing protection and mask or respirators are provided for where required.Computer SkillsSome computer skills required.Expected HoursThis is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Thursday 5:00am to 2:00pm, Friday 5:00 am to 9:00 amOvertime is expected when posted in advance.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
