Summary
You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the Sensor Integration and Technology Department (LX), Radar Technologies Division (LXL), Radar Systems Sustainment Branch (LXLR), Antenna Systems Sustainment Section (LXLRL) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $138,370).
Responsibilities
You will be the lead project Technician for the MK99 fire control system project in Radar Technologies Division at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division.
You will be responsible for identifying and allocating resources/manpower required to complete all tasking associated with the MK99 workload, including the above deck antenna system, AN/SPG-62, and associated director, MK82.
You will work with multiple Branch Managers and the Task Manager responsible for the MK99 program tasking to ensure the workload and schedules can be completed by the requested due dates given the resources and manpower available.
You will provide oversight for the contractors and government technicians assigned to the MK99 programs and provide feedback to the Antenna System Sustainment Section Manager.
You will be responsible for providing direct support to the In Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) for the antenna system and support the deployed US Navy ships as required.
You will assist in communications with waterfront/ISEA to include scheduling of travel in support of asset installs/removal and on board tech assists(OBTA).
You will ensure on site services(crane lifts, fork lifts, etc.) are scheduled to support travel, submitting access request forms for job sites, and coordinating with management on potential travelers.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 grade equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical engineering oversight or leadership on the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of radar systems and components to resolve and improve complex problems for the success of projects and support of the warfighter.
