Job description
Sterile Processing TechnicianThe Sterile Processing Technician performs duties and processes to provide centralized processing of instruments to provide quality and safe patient care. These duties are executed in such a manner, so as to be cost-effective, productive and efficient.Core Duties and Responsibilities:Checks equipment for cleanliness, functional use; inventories and documents the quantity of each instrument per tray/containerWraps trays and product for sterilization in accordance with current policies and proceduresVerifies sterilization procedures on the appropriate form for quality assuranceCleans and reprocesses all equipment and OR instruments upon receipt using cleaning agents and chemicals in accordance with MSDSReturns equipment to decontamination in a safe and sanitary mannerMinimum Requirements:SPD Technician Certification: CSPDT or CRCST6 months to 1 year of hands on work experience as a SPD TechBasic Computer SkillsAbility to Walk/Stand for Extended Periods with the Ability to Lift/Push/PullStrong Organizational/Interpersonal/Communication SkillsSalary Range - $22.27 - $29.99 hourly (based on experience)
